looking for a place in toronto

Go to the auto resroration clinic of greater Toronto. It’s located on Elm Avenue in the heart of town. I worked there for over 75 years and eventually retired when I hit 89.

When you go in just tell them that Kaneda sent you, and if they give you a hard time about it call the police! I once was shot by the owner of the place just for looking at him funny! Please be careful when you visit there.

    Trade-in value of classic corvette?

I’ve been unable to sell my classic 1981 corvette stingray (with only 60k miles) even though it is in excellent, original condition with all documentation. I was considering trading it in on a new model, but I feel that the dealer would not offer enough for the car. What do you think is a fair trade-in value for the car? I know that they can put it in the showroom and get a good sum for the vehicle.

Yes 1976 was the last year of the Stingrays. Nobody is interested in those Corvette years. I would just keep it.

Question on title transfer of a classic car in WA state?

So DOL website say you have to pay taxes on fair market value. I am looking at a car that is for sale for $1500, but low blue book is $10,000. I know they won’t let me pay taxes on the $1500. There has to be an easy way around this. What is it?

Blue book doesn’t always hold true. The condition of the car can make a lot of difference. A qualified appraiser might be able to help.

What cars are easy to restore for a beginner, early 70’s-50’s American muscle or classic VW’s or VW GTI’s?

Posted by admin on October 30th, 2009 and filed under classic muscle cars | 2 Comments »

I want to restore my very first suto. I’m thinking about some classics. possibly a beetle or maybe a ‘74-’84 VW GTI. Maybe even a classic american muscle car. What type would be easier and have cheaper parts?

Classic VWs are simpler. pre 74, if after that Id rather do an older muscle car….

Where is a good place to get classic car insurance that will let me commute – not only use the car for shows?

Posted by admin on October 30th, 2009 and filed under classic car | 4 Comments »

Most insurance that I’m looking into for classic cars are not willing to insure your car if you commute to work and school. They only want to insure cars that are used in shows, parades, etc. I will not drive my car every single day to work…maybe a few times during the week. I bought the car to enjoy it, not let it sit in the garage!

I would suggest that you have your car appraised and then insure it on a stated value policy through a mainstream insurance company. Ask your insurance agent about stated value policies to see of they have them available.

Classic cars like 56 mercury or 57 bel air style cars? How much would they cost in working (restored) condition, and not working (meaning that i would have to restore or get it restored myself)?

    Hi!
You can buy them at copart.com. There are a lot of them. An approximate cost you can check at http://www.easyexport.us/?a_aid=49e6f684c12b9. Also this website provides access to Copart.
