Where can I find parts for a 1968 Sears&Roebuck Benelli motorcycle. It is 106cc. ?

Posted by admin on February 28th, 2010 and filed under classic parts | 2 Comments »

I am looking to restore this bike with my father and would like to do so in the next year and half. The engine is fine, but needs cosmetic parts like seat,, grips, and foot pegs.

Any help on a place that sells classic parts would be fantastic!

Try Cosmopolitian motors out of the Langhorne Area of PA. You might also contact vintage motorcycle clubs for swap meet days in your area.

moving to portland oregon area, where can i find a job restoring classic cars?

currently attending nascar tech. in north carolina. will be relocating to the portland metro area in september. looking for a job in an auto restoration shop or on a race team. when i gradaute i will have taken basic automotive courses followed by nascar courses and ford factory training.

Dont know about jobs, but in April we have the Portland swap meet, largest auto swapmeet in the western half of the US, should go check it out if you are into old cars, nothing newer than 25 years old is allowed in, lots of vintage and muscle cars, just a heads up.

    Classic car rental- 1967 corvette?

Posted by admin on February 28th, 2010 and filed under classic corvette | 4 Comments »

For a gift for my father I would like to see if I could rent a 67 corvette. Does anyone know where I could find out how to do this? I am in Long Island NY

Good luck! A ‘67 Vette would be sweet to be driving around. But the value of these cars I feel would keep them out of other peoples hands just to rent.
If you can prove me wrong, I would love to hear of it.

If you are admitted into holy cross, can you choose to major in classics without havin to apply for it?

Also, how many kids apply for the classics scholarships yearly and how many get a scholarship? I am fluent in Greek so would this give me an advantage over other scholarship applicants?

Yes anyone can classify themselves as a Classic major. There are 3 full academic scholarships given each year for Classics majors. Being fluent in Greek will give you no advantage as it is quite different from ancient Greek. They will want to see exceptional academic work doen in classics in High School to get the scholarship. It is very competitive.

classic muscle cars vs. new imports?

Posted by admin on February 28th, 2010 and filed under classic muscle cars | 9 Comments »

which would be better to own? which would be better for a 1/4 mile race?

I prefer classic muscle. I kinda want an import to mess around with, but I can’t afford to buy one to play with!!

It all depends on the builder of the car and what they did to it. I know guys with old muscle cars that are dogs and I have seen a few guys at our track take a street driven import and run 8’s in the quarter!!!
