are there any classic car shows in southern ca in November? What would you like to ask?

Posted by admin on June 9th, 2010 and filed under classic car | 2 Comments »

visiting southern ca in November for the holiday. My husband is a classic car enthusiast and want to know if there are any ongoing or special shows at that time out there.

There is a great Classic Car website that has an event directory where you will probably find the information you are looking for. The website is OldRide.com and they have an extensive event directory with events listed for 2010-2011 throughout the U.S. and Canada. Here is a direct link to their event directory – http://www.oldride.com/events/index.html

Hope you have a great time!

what would be better in mileage for a classic car?

Posted by admin on May 29th, 2010 and filed under classic car | 6 Comments »

    I have a classic car (67 impala) that has a 350 small block and a TH-350 tranny (3 speed).

I am currently at my parents and want to go home and am asking if I should take the highway at 100KM\H (60MPH) or take the back roads with more stops going on average 60KM\H (35MPH).

Just asking to see what would take less gas to consume.

You should also consider that such a car may be expensive to insure. Check your insurance rates before buying one, for example here – carquotes.sinfree.net

do i have to use a car seat in a classic car to transport a child?

Posted by admin on May 26th, 2010 and filed under classic car | 2 Comments »

I live in Ontario, Canada and have a classic car (1967 Cadillac Eldorado). My child is three and uses a car seat in our other cars. The car seat doesn’t fit right in my classic car. Should I still use the car seat or just go "old-school". I heard that classic cars were "grandfathered" and you didn’t need to use a car seat, but was wondering if that’s true.

Yes you are still required to have the child seated correctly in a car seat at all times….

Does any insurance company offer insurance for a classic/antique car that is not parked in a garage?

Posted by admin on May 22nd, 2010 and filed under classic car | 2 Comments »

I’m looking to insure an old Ford pickup that I just restored. I don’t plan on parking it in the garage every night and therefor wanted to find a classic car insurance policy that doesn’t require a locked garage storage. The truck will only be used one or twice a week for pleasure so I don’t want to get a typical insurance policy if I can get a classic policy for much less. I tried Hagerty and JC Taylor but have had no luck. Thanks

I recommend you this site where you can compare quotes so you can find the best option for you
