What is a good classic car to drive everyday?
I really like classic cars, and would like to get one for an everyday driver. I like cars from the mid-fifties and earlier, I am looking for something in automatic because I have shoulder problems.
What about an old Chevy Belleair, those are really nice.

References :
Mid-1960s (1965-1967) Mustang six cylinder. Parts are cheap, easy to work on, good gas mileage, very classy car and reasonbly priced. I put 30,000 miles on my in 3 years and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Unless you are good at working on cars or know a ‘dear friend’ who is, having a classic car as a daily driver is not a smart idea. Parts are not always available, repairs can be time consuming and costly and it is guaranteed that if you HAVE to be somewhere, your classic car will not start. In addition, most classics are not going to have power steering, a real problem over the long haul for someone with shoulder problems.
If you are willing to put up with all that, I recommend any ‘64 1/2 to ‘69 Mustang (parts are easier to find due to popularity) or any of the early Chevrolet’s (as Chevy’s are famous for having interchangeable parts; that is, the parts from one model will usually bolt up to another, even years apart.)
Good Luck and Happy Motoring
****My Classice include:
1964 1/2 Ford Mustang (Actually a 1965 for purists, reality is there is no such thing as a ‘64 1/2)
1964 Buick Electra 225 Convertible
1950 Dodge Meadowbrook
1952 Pontiac Chieftain
