Will my ipod classic car charger work with my iphone 4?

I have a after market car charger for my ipod classic. Will the charger work for my iphone 4?

Yes! My ipod classic’s charger works with my newer ipod touch not a problem, both models are new enough to have the same usb cable and the pins in those cables are the same.

  1. Maybe. Older chargers used different pins than the new chargers do. Try it and see. You won’t damage the charger or iPod.

    I use my car charger interchangably with both devices and the same with both my ac wall chargers too :)

  3. as far as i know a iPhone solar charger can charge your ipod and iphone at the same time. one solar charger is compatible with both of your ipod and iphone

  4. It’’s the chip. The newer chargers compatible with most older models. But the older chargers do not support the latest products.
