Final Fight and Streets of Rage are two of my all time favorites. Final Figth arcade was hard as hell, though… I probably spent about ten bucks the first time I finished it.

I never played Final Fight until Capcom ported this to PS2 via the Capcom Classic Collection Volume 1. I do remember playing Final Fight 2 or 3 on SNES though. I”ll probably get the PS3 version next month to show my support to Capcom.

Sega had Streets of Rage to go against Capcom for making Final Fight exclusive to Nintendo’s SNES system though Sega did get Final Fight CD on Sega CD. Alot of the characters in Streets of Rage look similar to Final Fight.

Pay close attention to the conversation Cody and Guy have in the beginning.
    Cody: Jessica was kidnapped!
    Guy: Jessica?!
    Cody: My childhood sweetheart
Guy: Oh yeah, she’s my friend too, count me in!

Oh THAT Jessica. I like how Guy forgot he had a friend named Jessica, and that he would beat up 1000 guys to save someone he barely even knew.

Capcom know how to make some good games. I have not seen a bad series of games from them. Just purchased Capcom Classics Vol 1 for the PS2. This game is in that collection. I am going to get this off the PSN for sure. Never played Final Fight or Magic Sword.

  23. You mentioned how …
You mentioned how all the side-scolling beat-em-ups of the late 90’s had someone getting captured by a gang. The need one where this guy in a suit is just walking home and random enemies attack him for no reason. Have ninjas, aliens, zombies, velociraptures and such as you make an attempt to reach your apartment.
