Classic Game Room HD – ATARI 5200 Controller review part 2

Part 2 of 2. Watch in high definition! Classic Game Room HD reviews the infamous ATARI 5200 controller for the Atari 5200 video game system from 1982. This analog controller with keypad is notorious for having problems nearly 30 years after its release. The innards fall to pieces, buttons stop working and the joystick is like mush. However if you want to play some awesome Atari 5200 games, and there is a huge complete list of amazing Atari 5200 games, then you’re pretty much stuck with the OEM stock Atari 5200 controller. You can buy parts to repair it yourself or purchase refurbished Atari 5200 controllers, and Wico made some aftermarket controllers, but those options are costly. Ignoring those major problems, how does the Atari 5200 controller stack up against other joysticks and controllers from video game consoles past and present? Watch the review for a complete technical presentation reviewing this piece of Atari history. Classic Game Room HD reviews joysticks and video game accessories for retro old school game systems and the new consoles like Wii, PS3 and Xbox 360.
