Posted by admin on May 23rd, 2010 and filed under classic games | 25 Comments »

Classic Game Room HD reviews ROCKET KNIGHT for Xbox 360, also available for Playstation 3 PS3 and PC via Steam. This retro-style remake of Rocket Knight Adventures, the 1993 Sega Genesis classic, is a revitalization of the series that brings back Sparkster and the awesome Rocket Knight style of gameplay. Use a rocket jet pack to bounce around levels and slaughter enemies while collecting gems and items. Rocket Knight is not as lengthy as its Sega Genesis counterpart but packs some good arcade style replay value with a cool scoring system based on multipliers and unlockable character skins and Achievement Points (trophies for the PS3 version). This CGR review of Rocket Knight from developer Climax and publisher Konami has gameplay from the Xbox 360 version of Rocket Knight showing Rocket Knight game play in action.

Classic Game Room HD – DARK VOID review

Posted by admin on May 2nd, 2010 and filed under classic games | 25 Comments »

Classic Game Room HD reviews DARK VOID for Playstation 3 PS3, also available for Xbox 360 and Windows PC. Welcome to rental city! Dark Void is an action adventure game that can’t decide whether it is a shooter or a flying game. The flight controls are terrible and bring down what is otherwise a very entertaining game. A mediocre combat system and interesting environments move a cool sci-fi story along about your character’s disappearance into the Bermuda Triangle and eventual adventure into the VOID. But can you handle the awkward jetpack controls and terrible flight system to see it to the end? Hooray for quicktime events (sarcasm). As much as Classic Game Room loves cheesy science fiction adventures this one lives up to its title. This CGR review of Dark Void from Capcom has gameplay from Dark Void showing Dark Void game play on PS3 Playstation 3 with gaming footage.

This Midnight Club LA review features gameplay footage in HD and shows the Nissan Skyline, Datsun Z and Lamborghini! Classic Game Room HD plays a lot of driving games, so how does this fast paced arcade style sandbox racer compare to games like Burnout Paradise and Test Drive Unlimited, is Midnight Club LA as good? Using the same engine as Grant Theft Auto IV 4, Midnite Club L.A. has soft visuals that run very smooth as you cruise through Los Angeles at insane speeds. Unlock achievement points for Xbox 360 and trophies for Playstation 3 PS3 network. Returning in 2008 with new episodes, Classic Game Room breaks out a review of TEST DRIVE UNLIMITED for the Xbox 360 video game console. The 360 comes alive with this amazing sleeper hit from 2007, TDU is awesome! Cockpit driving mode, Lamborghini, Ferrari and an enormous island to explore at your whim at high speed! This driving game is incredible and very affordable today, I picked up my copy used and have played for hours and hours already. If you like Forza 2 or Gran Turismo 5 you’ll LOVE this game! Explore one of the islands of Hawaii and race in a variety of time trials, races, competitions and speed tests. Drive hitchhikers and hot models from one side of the island to the other. Weave in and out of traffic with reckless abandon and run from the Police. It’s kind of like Grand Theft Auto without the guns, in that you have a huge environment to explore and drive this awesome collection of cars and spend money on houses and stuff. Cars and motorcycles in the game include Lamborghini, Ferrari, Aston Martin, Ascari, Noble, Nissan, Ducati, Kawasaki, Jaguar, Ford, Chevy Corvette, Shelby, Saleen and RUF.
