Classic Game Room HD reviews LEFT 4 DEAD for Xbox 360, also available for PC. From Valve, the brilliant group of humans who brought us Portal and Half Life 2, comes Left for Dead! Zombies, zombies, rah rah rah! It’s 28 Days Later meets a video game made to feel like 28 Days Later with excellent controls and 4-player gameplay. Released in 2008 Left 4 Dead has set the gold standard for 4 player co-op shooters over Xbox Live where teamwork and group zombie-slaughter is the name of the game. Choose from one of four characters, stock up on some health and weapons and plow your way through four levels chock full of zombies, witches, smokers and tanks. Like many popular Xbox 360 video games, once the sequel (Left for Dead 2) was released the price of the original fell below NES game cartridge levels and can be easily had anywhere today for the cost of a pizza. Classic Game Room talks about the Rock Band 3 demo from E3 2010 and talks about what experienced musicians can expect with the new game from Harmoix. This is a look back at the MTV Games booth where 7 people played Rock Band 3 for a demonstration. They used a keyboard (keytaur!), two backup singers, lead vocal, drums, guitar and bass. The one guitarist played a REAL guitar with Rock Band 3 and was scored in the game on Rock Band 3 Pro mode (Rock Band 3 professional mode). The game will have some accessories that support MIDI so that you can use other guitars and keyboards. Available for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 PS3.

This retro-style remake of Rocket Knight Adventures, the 1993 Sega Genesis classic, is a revitalization of the series that brings back Sparkster and the awesome Rocket Knight style of gameplay. Use a rocket jet pack to bounce around levels and slaughter enemies while collecting gems and items. Rocket Knight is not as lengthy as its Sega Genesis counterpart but packs some good arcade style replay value with a cool scoring system based on multipliers and unlockable character skins and Achievement Points (trophies for the PS3 version). This CGR review of Rocket Knight from developer Climax and publisher Konami has gameplay from the Xbox 360 version of Rocket Knight showing Rocket Knight game play in action.

Classic Game Room HD reviews TRANSFORMERS THE REVENGE OF THE FALLEN for Xbox 360, aka Transformers 2 review for Xbox 360. This is the same version that appears on PS3 / Playstation 3 also called Transformers Revenge of the Fallen. This CGRHD review of TRANSFORMERS 2 has gameplay footage from Xbox 360 in HD showing game play in Transformers Revenge of the Fallen. Published by Activision, there are numerous versions of this game available. This version, the 360 and PS3 version. Also the different Wii version, two different flavors (Autobot and Decepticon) available for Nintendo DS and a PSP variant of the game. Here on Xbox 360 the gameplay is fast and fun, you get to collect and play as numerous Transformers!!! Mighty robots, mighty machines…. or was that Go Bots…? More than meets the eye!! There we go, that’s Transformer lingo. Play two different campaigns, Autobot and Decepticon. The missions are broken into little chunks of explosions as you complete things in a race against the clock. Blow that up, shoot that thing, capture humans, etc… Play as Megatron, Optimus Prime, Starscream, Sideways or the lame-ass , goody-two shoes Autobots. Transformers 2 for Xbox 360 has XBLA support for multiplayer and leaderboards, it also has a free roam mode that you can unlock and roam around freely shooting tanker trucks. Fun, explosion packed and very well made, young and old fans of the series will find something to like in Transformers Revenge of the Fallen for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. Watch the Classic Game Room reviews of Transformers 2 for Wii and Nintendo DS as well. The Xblx 360 version has loads of achievement points to earn through the game.

Dark Void is an action adventure game that can’t decide whether it is a shooter or a flying game. The flight controls are terrible and bring down what is otherwise a very entertaining game. A mediocre combat system and interesting environments move a cool sci-fi story along about your character’s disappearance into the Bermuda Triangle and eventual adventure into the VOID. But can you handle the awkward jetpack controls and terrible flight system to see it to the end? Hooray for quicktime events (sarcasm). As much as Classic Game Room loves cheesy science fiction adventures this one lives up to its title. This CGR review of Dark Void from Capcom has gameplay from Dark Void showing Dark Void game play on PS3 Playstation 3 with gaming footage.
