The London to Brighton vintage car rally is an annual event that showcases vintage cars built before 1905 and coming from all over the world.
I haphazardly came across this event hanging out in the street of East Croydon early in the morning while waiting to get ready to come back to New York City. When the first clip was taken, I had not known the funny looking cars were part of a rally. Rather, I thought that the people in East Croydon had some special kind of public transportation looking like the old cars. It was not until almost half and hour later when I asked a police what those things were did I learn about the annual rally.

Test drive of a nice 1960 Corvette Convertible.
Black exterior with Silver coves, Black interior, White convertible top. 230hp 283ci engine, 4 speed manual transmission. This is a reasonably priced, head-turning car that will gather a crowd anywhere it goes for years to come! This 1960 Corvette appears to be either a very original car, or an older restoration. Paint is still very nice with a good shine, showing few blemishes, but still showing a few signs of age. Chrome looks to be all original and shows some patina; convertible top is a few years old, but still in very good condition with a clear window. Exterior chrome door handles look to be original as well. Door weatherstripping is a few years old, but still very soft with no cracking. This 1960 Corvette features a set of original hubcaps that are in very nice condition with no dings and a good shine. Tires are Dunlop Gold wide whitewalls with tread showing, however we recommend replacing these tires immediately as they have dry-rotted sidewalls, and are therefore not safe to drive on. One single T3 headlamp remains; the others are halogen units. Taillights are in good condition with no cracks or breaks. The interior of this car is very much if not ALL original, including the seat covers, gauges, steering wheel, door panels, and carpet. All of these components show some wear from age, but nonetheless there are no tears in the seat covers, dash, or door panels. A vintage White-Westinghouse cassette deck has been installed in the factory location with no cuts, and a Hurst shifter has been installed as well. Engine casting number shows 1102043; casting date corresponds to July 5, 1959. We believe this to be a Numbers Matching car, although being a 1960 model, this car was built before VIN numbers were cast in the engine block, and therefore we cannot say for certain. This 1960 Corvette features its CORRECT original generator!! An Edelbrock carburetor has been added; exhaust and intake manifold casting numbers are illegible. This car features a solid frame, and would be perfect for someone that wants to be able to drive a classic Corvette without a huge investment or having to worry about driving it to the grocery store. Factory features include AM radio, powerglide automatic transmission (both removed/replaced).

I was going through some footage from last year that I hadn’t done anything w/ and came across this. From a cruisein’ night in downtown Downers Grove here’s a half dozen vintage autos. There’s a cherry GTO convertible, an old Dodge, a Corvette and some other hot rods. More car shows coming this summer! This time we’ll get more cars and more info.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suzuki_GT750
The Suzuki GT750 was a Japanese water cooled three cylinder two stroke motorcycle made by Suzuki between 1971 and 1977.
The prototype Suzuki GT750 was shown at the 17th Tokyo Motor Show in October 1970 and launched in Japan in September 1971 as a sports tourer (GT standing for Grand Tourismo) and was developed from the Suzuki T500 with an extra cylinder and liquid cooling. Marketed as the Le Mans in the US and Canada, it was nicknamed the Kettle in Britain. The GT750 was heavy at 550 lbs, with a 739cc two stroke three cylinder engine with 70 x 64mm bore and stroke. It had a five-speed gearbox and three into four exhaust. The first model year 1972, the GT750J, had a double sided, twin-leading shoe, 200mm drum front brake with 180mm drum rear. The Exhaust Coupler Tube System ECTS that connected the left and right side exhausts together was designed to boost low end torque. Carburetors were 32mm Mikuni slide type and power output was 67bhp at 6,500 rpm. Two color schemes were offered in most markets with North America getting three. Also included was SRIS Suzuki Recycle Injection System which was a method for lowering the visible exhaust smoke by collecting and burning residual oil/gas lying in the bottom of the crank chambers.
In 1973 Suzuki the GT750K was announced with extra chrome plating and two 295mm discs replacing the drum front brake. The following year the GT750L gained unitized/rack mounted 40mm Mikuni CV type carburetors, a gear position indicator added to the instrumentation and redesigned side covers along with other detail changes. The engine was also re-tuned with an increase in power to 70 bhp for the Japanese domestic market starting in January, 1974. The rest of the world received these changes with the introduction of the 1975 Suzuki GT750M with the new silencers without connecting pipes, raised gearing and power output increased by 3 bhp now giving a top speed of 120 mph. The 1976 GT750A model pretty much stayed the course with only minor changes to trim items and paint color change. The final 1977 model GT750B had black side panels regardless of tank color, black headlamp holders, brown faced instruments instead of blue, updated turn signal indicators/lights and taillight assembly.

Suzuki’s 750cc water-cooled triple was launched in 1971 as their answer to the super bikes of the day, bikes like Honda CB750 and Triumph Bonneville. The GT750 was more a sports toured (the GT standing for Grand Tourismo) and was, basically, a T500 with an extra cylinder and liquid cooling crafted on.
The GT750 was the first Japanese serial manufactured motorcycle with a liquid-cooled engine. It was a unique engine construction in its day and today considered one of the classic Suzukis, loved by its owners.
Although smooth, quiet and comfortable, the GT750 was big and heavy. This huge, wide engined bike, which weighed in at 550 lbs, was about 30 lbs heavier than a Kawasaki Z1. The 739cc engine was an inline water-cooled triple with 70 x 64mm bore and stroke. The cylinder block was alloy with cast iron liners.
